Format NAS Drive using Gparted

Hello,
before I start, I have to tell you that my English is pretty bad =)
I have several WD NAS Products and I bought extra 6TB NAS drive for my streaming desktop server running linux.
I formatted the drive by DL2100 and then it was separated 4 partitions.
so here is my question.
Do I have to format the drive by DL2100 or use whatever tools like gparted making 1 partition?
which one is the best for the drive?

P.S: I will format it to EXT4 and I want to know how those partitions work.

Thank you!

Hello there,

I have not tried this, but lets see if another user can share some information or tips on this matter.
