I have a “WD My passport Elite” External hard.I have set a password and i forgot that password,so i cant use my hard disk.
Would anyony please help me?to reset that password?or remove it?

If you forgot the password, and you want to disable the password, you will need to fail the password attempt five times, then the drive will open a window asking you if you want to reformat the drive. Doing so, will restore the drive to its original condition.
I have a 500 g my passport hard drive and I have forgotten my password i tried the five time password reejection that you said but it isnt working:cry:
Can you elaborate on what is not working? Does SmartWare not give you the option to erase your drive? If not, you’ll need to unplug your drive, install SmartWare off WD’s website, and then reconnect your drive to enter five wrong passwords.
