Folders greyed out

I have some folders in my shares that are greyed out and I can’t access them on my Mac. However, I can see them and their contents through the WD My Cloud software.

Does anyone have any idea on what I need to do to make those folders accessible in the Finder on my Mac?

I’ve searched the forums, but not finding what I need… or I just don’t recognize the correct problem.

Thanks!

Hi clouduser, welcome to the Community. Can you share what type of files are you trying to access? and if you are able to save new files from the Mac to the My Cloud? You can also review the steps on how to map a network drive on the link below.

How to map a WD network drive on a Mac

Hi jubei04 -

I’m trying to access various file types: .doc, .html, and image files (jpg/gif/png).

Yes, I am able to save to the My Cloud from the Mac.

Additional information, within the same share, there are folders I can access at the same level as the folders that are appearing greyed out.

Thanks!

UPDATE:

Mounting it made the difference and made those folders available to me on my Mac. I don’t understand it, but I guess this is now fixed.

Thank you!
