I have videos on a WD Elements 2TB external drive which is connected to my WD TV Live Plus Media Player. The media player is connected to a wired network. I would like to take control and set permissions so other people on the network can’t rename, move or delete any of the videos on the attached hard drive. Is this possible? My operating system is XP Pro. Any help would be truly appreciated.
Just set read permissions with no write permissions.
