Flashing white (or yellow) forever

I got a brand new My Cloud. After connecting to router and power pack, flashed forever.

I placed unit against my ear and listened.

The drive was spinning up, shutting down, spinning up, shutting down.

I happened to have a wall wart spare, and found the wall wart was the problem, not the drive.

So, listen for above. If found, get a new power pack.

Or simply return the whole system for a replacement at the retailer.
