Flash drive's file system not supported

Hi guys, i have a flash drive that i using to transfer stuff from my smartphone, it has a ExFat file system, yesterday i’ve tried to connect it to the My Cloud device through the USB port and i’ve recived an Email that says :unsupported file system blah blah blah…

please make My Cloud to read ExFat file system

To solve your problem, put flash drive in your PC, and copy data on it to My Cloud from PC. The same you should do with a hard drive.

Can you reformat the flash drive to a format that is supported by both your smartphone and the My Cloud? The My Cloud supports the following formats for USB attached devices:

FAT32
NTFS (read and write capability)
HFS+J
Ext2, Ext3/Ext4
XFS

As others have said, format your flash drive to work with the My Cloud.

First insert it into you computer and then do a right click on the drive letter. See example image below. Click on, tap or activate image to enlarge it.

Second click on Format and then choose what format you want from the drop down menu. See example image below.

Anytime you buy something to use with your devices you need to make sure it is compatible or can be made compatible!!!
