Two things: firstly firmware update causes me to have access to my NAS for about 30 minutes before I then can’t access (through multiple OS [Windows 10 on 3 machines by network mapping and also by web browser to statically mapped IP address, through Bose soundtouch software, through Mac OS X and smb link and by my cloud software on iPhone and ipad]) . All other maps and the rest of my network works fine so not router. Only way to rectify is through hard reset. Then I have access for another approx. 30 minutes. Do you actually test firmware updates or just expect the end user to do this? Are there known remedies? Also why not have the previous firmware/roll back option available, Just plain stupid to not have this option.
Second point, why have a post about the new firmeware update providing area to discuss issues and have the post closed?!? Am I missing something???
Bennor has started a post about the new firmware and issues people are having + any ideas on work-arounds. You might want to post in this thread Firmware 04.04.03-113 Discussion to keep the issues all in one place.
When you stated “Hard Reset” are you talking about a 40sec reset or just a reboot? If just a reboot then you might want to try a 40sec reset … sometimes that clears up some issues.
