First WD 640 GB drive

Hi everybody!

I need to know, when the first WD drive of capacity 640 GB was introduced to the market and was available to the customers. I need this info for both internal and external drives - date, model (more technical data are also welcome).

Thank you for the hints but I need the exact date and officially confirmed. Especially the last is crucial for me.

Hi this is for internal laptop drives  http://www.wdc.com/en/company/pressroom/releases/?release=8dc1174a-92a0-4db3-b0ac-58218b52a24d   this is for desktop drives  http://techreport.com/news/14381/western-digital-ships-two-platter-640gb-desktop-drive and this is for the external drive. If you need better confirmation you should contact WD
