First use after 4+ years on the shelf (Hitachi Deskstar 5K4000 4TB)

Hi,

I bought 2 brand-new 4TB Hitachi Deskstar 5K4000 hard drives early 2013.
It is only now that I’m going to use them for the first time and install them in a NAS for critical data backup.
All this time the drives have been stored in the original sealed anti-static bags in a cabinet at room temperature.
However, I’m a bit worried… Is there any risk that the physical integrity has been degraded due to the long period of non-use (e.g. viscosity of the lubrication (ball bearings)…)?

No, there is no such risk in long period of non-used drive.
