First time user

im a first time user and really hoping this works,I have several thousand itunes songs i want to back up and really hope I am doing this correctley,

My question has to do woth unplugging the device.

After its all backed up do I unplug it from my computer or do I just leave it plugged in?

If I do unplug it do I do it in any certain order ?

Hi there, it’s up you. If you would like the drive to staty connected for fast access then it should be connected. If you’re done working with it and you don’t want it to take power or stay active doing nothing when it should be turned off or disconnected.

If you want to unplug it, then the order is to disconnect the data cable first (The one that goes to your computer) and then the power adapter.
