Doing my first back up on my new passport ultra. Had a hard time getting it to the point of backing up on my Microsoft Vista laptop, after a few hours of backup got this message: Access Denied (0x80070005). Not sure how to fix this so it completes back up. Help.
Second question: Im planning to upgrade to windows 7 once i get things to back up. Will I still be able to access files in passport ultra?
It would be best to share the name of the application you are using to handle your backups. Your WD Passport Ultra does not run automatic backups on its own without a governing application, which can be WD software or an independent program.
If you are planing on upgrading your system then it’s best to manually copy and paste your files into your WD Passport Ultra (Within the Computer section) rather than using an automatic backup program.
