Firmware upgrade to OS5 hanged and now drive can't connect

I have a WD My cloud drive. I was in the middle of upgrading my firmware to OS 5 and the process hanged at the stage of “Upgrading firmware - Progress (100%)”. I kept waiting for about 25-30 minutes assuming it will lead to “Automatic Reboot” which was supposed to be the next stage after firmware upgrade. However, nothing happened and I got a message that “logged out due to system inactivity”.

After that I haven’t been able to connect to the drive at all. I have tried the 40 sec Reset as well 2-3 times but no use.

I think the drive was in the middle of OS upgrade and something disconnected the drive. Is there anyway to salvage the drive . Please help if any insights

Is this a 2nd generation WD MY CLOUD? Have you unplugged it, waited a minute, and then plugged it back in to see what happens?

This is the 2nd gen My cloud . I have done the unplugging several times but to no avail.
Also did the 40 secs reset but that didn’t work either.
