Firmware Updater Mac won't see Thunderbolt 2 or 3 drives

Downloaded the current firmware updater for Mac but all it recognizes is one of my Mybook drives.
Can’t get it to see any of the WD Red drives or update the Thunderbolt 2 Raid drive.
In the scheme of things quite useless. Same goes for the WD drive utilities that doesn’t even tell you the Model or Year or usage on the drive.
