I just tried the latest firmware upgrade and it failed to complete. Unit turns on and off but I only get the splash screen. WD sending a replacement. Is there anyway to salvage the movies stored on the internal hard drive of the old hub?
If the device is not booting up, your only option will be calling WD and ask for permission to open the device, connect the drive to a computer and recover your data.
Do not open the WD TV without WD’s consent, if you do it, you will void the warranty of your device.
