Ever since I bought the MyBOOK Premium Edition in 2007, the firewire connection on my iMac didn’t work. This is an issue of WD and they never fixed it. The promised and promised that it would come, but no. Other firewire products from other brands work very good, but this product.
For me no WD products anymore. The support is very poor.

Other than WD Button manager, it should work with 10.5.x.
Can you define what it doesn’t work with 10.5.x? Do you mean Leopard OS doesn’t see it after re-format to HFS+J?
