Finder Search Returns Unusable Results

Hello,

When a standard search is conducted the returned results are: thumbnails are blank, no options to open or rename the files.
Attempts to open a file receives the following alert…The alias “turkey__MG_1652.CR2” can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found.)

However, If I just view the files in Finder, everything functions properly.

Summary - The problem only occurs on returned search results.

I have older WD direct linked hard drives that do not experience this issue that this WD Cloud drive is displaying.

Due to lack of indexing of mounted shares of My Cloud in macOS, the finder would not provide search result of files stored in My Cloud share. You need to open share then you will be able to search required file from that particular opened share.

Thanks for your reply. I have double checked my Share Settings in the FInder and the WDMyCloud already appears under the “Shared” section.

Is this what you mean when you say… open share?

Can you provide me step-by-step instructions on how to setup “Share”
