I have a Western Digital NAS MyBook World Edition attached to my network and access it via an iMac and Windows PC. When looking from Windows, each folder that Finder has touched has folders called - ‘Network Trash Folder’ and ‘Temporary Items’ and a file called _VUC69~7. How can I prevent Mac leaving these traces. I have read about adding veto files setting in smb.conf file however that is not helping. Can anyone help, please?
Have you tried checking the setting on the mac to see if it has that option?
