Strangely when i’ve copied some files in different folders some on those got a “~” in the name.
For exemple :
1FLVBX~3
HIDT2~8
ZNTPE~R
etc…
What is this ?
When i rename the folder it’s ok. But i’ve almost 300 files and folders with this problem.

What program, software or app did you use to copy the files? Where are you copying the files too? The My Cloud or to a device attached to the My Cloud?
Thanks to your answer.
I copy from my MacBook directly in WD MyCloud (icon on my desk). Never got a problem since 2 years
Those look like “Mangled” file names.
Might be something similar to this?
WD MyCloud silently remaps special Windows filenames (com1, etc.),
even if the filename has an extension (com1.txt, etc.).
Microsoft suggests avoiding the following reserved names
(see https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa365247.aspx):
aux com1 com2 com3 com4 com5 com6 com7 com8 com9 con lpt1 lpt2 lpt3 lpt4 lpt5 lpt6 lpt7 lpt8 lpt9 nul prn
plus those names immediately followed by an extension.
On MyCloud, filenames com[5-9] and lpt[4-9] work as expected,
aux com[1-4] l…
And so was the user in that post.
So are you mounting the Cloud using AFP, or SMB?
smb://wdmycloud/Public
Strange no ? Cause i should be in AFP (Apple). How it’s possible to change that ?
Problems appeared since one week. I’ve only 3 MAC at home, no PC.
Version : WDMyCloud v04.05.00-327 : Core F/W

In my Browser ?
Why are you using a web browser? Are you connecting to a remote My Cloud using MyCloud.com ?
For local network access, use Mac Finder. Use AFP rather than SMB when inputting the link to access the My Cloud in Mac Finder.
Thanks, i’ve reboot my MAC and know the pass is : afp://WDMyCloud._afpovertcp._tcp.local/Public
It’s seems good, all the folders and files have recovered their inital names… But strange name isn’t it ?
