Files not locked down by password

I can acess files form my xbox 360 and my samsung divces with outh needing the password to access them. Why is this?

Any one who logs onto my network can see my files with a limited search, but they are still locked down on Pcs and Macs and other adroid devices i have not tried IOS as of yet.

… because you have Media Serving enabled for those shares, and those devices are accessing via DLNA/UPnP – which is inherently insecure.

You need to specify which fodlers exactly the media server is going to display.  Do this in the media server settings.
