Files do not upload to app

I purchased a My Cloud Home 4TB the day before the outage! However, I locally uploaded photos on my laptop and also copied files across from my OS5. Now, I can access the OS5 files and folders on my iPhone but the Home app still only shows the photo folders but not the data folders. Is this right? I assumed (!) that the Home app would show everything it contained, not just the photo folders… Is this right?

No one could really tell what is being described but all user files should be accessible such as shown below with the iOS MCH Home app:
