I’ve got a WD My Passport Ultra 3 TB and for the pass few months my files seem to be deleting without me erasing them. I connect it to my laptop and seems like more files seem to be deleting when I go to add more files. Is anyone else having this problem also?
Yes I’m here because I’m having the same problem. 40 gigs of very specially chosen movies and another unknown amount of missing software. Can we have support tell us what causes this so we can avoid it? Other drives don’t do this so I’m wondering if I should just get my money back.
Support suggested getting the files off, formatting it, and putting the files on again. Keeping the computer and drive on a solid surface and not moving helps too.
