File transfer from one folder to another taking a LONG time

I understand that file transfers to and from a NAS speed can happen with a wide range in terms of speed.  Lots of variables that impact the actual speed.

BUT from one folder the another all internally for the NAS?  That should be nearly instantaneous.  

What is going on with the file folder structure that it would take a long time to move a file from one folder to another inside the raid 0 two drive setup?  The file is not going anywhere.  This is not about the network.

I actually have this same issue, quite annoying. I get around 25mb/s average even transfering folder to folder within the SAME drive.

So now that the forum seems to be back up and running. What’s with this moving files internally taking so long? This should be pert near instantaneous.
