"File format not supported" issue with My Book WE 2

I’ve bought a My Book World Edition II, along with a Samsung 8705 television.

My television sees the network drive just fine, and most file types plays without incident. (avi and mp4 works just fine)

However, MKV doesn’t.

When trying to play an MKV file through the Network Drive, I get the error “File Format not Supported”.

It works just fine on the television when playing the .MKV file through a USB-drive.

Any good ideas for a solution?
