Favorite and ratings options are not available to me

I just got my WD TV Live (Gen 3) Media Player  yesterday. It’s been updated to latest firmware v1.16.13. I have switched on the Media Library option and have added selected folders from my Windows 8 PC to the media library. It has scanned and added these and all my folders, songs, photos and videos are in the media library.

However, when I select a folder or file, and go to the options menu the options to set the folder or file as a favorite, or rate them, are not on the list at all. Any ideas what might be wrong?

Not sure if I had (sorry newbie!!) but probably not as on trying since I seem to be able to set favourites and ratings. But much more serious problems since which I’ll be posting today!
