Fall damage?

After a fall off the desk, a MyBook Essential 500 GB external drive no longer shows up as a recognized drive under Windows Explorer. I can see it listed under ‘Devices and Printers’; however, it does not seem to spin anymore,  and when I try and pull up properties it says it is unavailable.

Is there any hope of getting it working again, or of getting my data off of it?
