I cannot retrieve my pictures from the My Passport external drive. I’ve tried several times with no luck. I saw that someone else had asked this same question, but did not receive a response. Does anyone know how to fix the problem?
Are you manually retrieving the files or using a software?
Manually trying to retrieve. Didn’t know there was a software you could use.
How did you transfer the data to the drive with software or manually? If you used backup software you may need that to retrieve the data. If it was transfered manually it may be a corruptuion problem.

I would have done it manually. I leave the WD USB port plugged into my laptop all the time, so it can continuously back up my files. After the pictures were backed up, I removed them from the laptop.
