Given some problems I ve had streaming m2ts files (upgraded to latest firmware hasn t changed anything), I m considering a “factory reset” but don’t know what this will do? Will I have to completely reinstall everything? Please advise. Thanks
Its best to do an ‘overkill’ reset.
reset via the side paperclip button with the unit on - the unit will reboot
reset to factory defaults via the internal menu
unplug from power for some minutes
do all 3 before using the unit again.
Its recommended that you do this after every firmware update particularly if you experience any problems.
You will have to set up your wireless and logon info but thats it, the firmware installed will stay the same but other than that the unit should be back to the way you first received it.
