Hello all! I just recently purchased my device and was very happy with it all of this week. However, suddenly last night, I am at a point where it is taking a full 60 seconds to load the videos that I want to play. Even ones that it was able to play within just a couple of seconds yesterday and the day before. I checked the firmware update and it is current. I have changed none of the settings. I even tried using the reset to make sure and it still happens. I am attached to a Seagate Free Agent USB drive. Do you folks think it is the device? I hooked my USB drive up to my laptop and was able to instantly play the files in question. I am considering doing an exchange on it and see if that corrects it.
Disconnect all drives and unplug player(for a min or two )
Delete “ .wd_tv ” folder off the drive(s)
Restore player to “factory settings”. Do not connect drive(s) until the Restore is completed. (Latest Firmware will remain untouched)
Thanks very much for your help! I tried this last night and it seems to have worked.
Also, I did think of one thing that I changed right around the time that my problems started. I changed my drive from the USB2 to USB1 position. I wonder if something like that would have caused issues.
Anyway, I am back up and running as normal and I appreciate your help and suggestions.
