It works fine when I’m using USB 2.0 but when using eSATA it won’t let let me access the files. It does appear under the notification center but under the My Computer option where I can access anything.
I am using an HP Pavilion dm4 running Windows 8 Release Preview. I think that might have something to do with it. Does anyone know how to fix this?
And no, I can’t try using a different cable. I can’t afford to buy a different eSATA cable right now.
The issue might be related to the Windows 8 drivers for eSATA. Since Windows 8 has not been officially released, none of the WD products have been certified for it.
