What are differences between My Book essential WDBACW0010HBK-01 and My Book WDBACW0010HBK-04 ?
It seems the former is compatible with some devices but the latter not.

Sorry for the confusion, both drives should work with the same devices.
The model number suffix (characters to the right of the dash following the model number) is only for in-house use. It does not affect the configuration of the drive.
