Hi WD Community,
I’m new to the WD Community and had a question which has probably been asked before.
I’ve got a Western Digital WCBFKF0010BBK-0B model storage drive (My Passport For Mac) that I use for my external backup.
Is it possible to reformat the drive which previously backed up my Apple laptop successfully when I had Mojave so that it can work with Catalina and also backup what’s in iCloud?
Kind Regards,
Gary.
This subforum is for the My Cloud devices. If you do not have a My Cloud device and are asking only about a My Passport for Mac external USB hard drive then see the dedicated subforum for external drives for Mac:
If the drive was previously used on previous Mac laptop then it should work on a new one. Connect it to the new laptop and the Mac OS should see and access the drive. Some relevant WD Support Knowledgebase Articles:
