Existing Hard drive crashed

Hi All, My internal hard drive died, I have been uing a WD external My book set to auto backup, I will purchase a new ssd  and install it. My problem is that I have never done this and I do not know how to restore my new drive, operating system included ,using My Book. I need any help and advice that you can give me.

Your first stop should be reading the documentation for your backup software to determine how to do the restore…
