I have recently had a weird issue these are all new HDD’S. I have a brand new raid setup now 2 of the 3 drives turned red recently so as any normal person would do I did one of two things and scanned the disk. No errors found so I now moved onto a full disk test. Again no errors. so after it kept telling me no errors I moved onto a system test. I had no errors involved on my EX4100. I now at this point wondering if it was a system glitch or I really did buy 2 failing drives. I restarted the system and now the LED’S on the drives are blue has anyone else encountered this?
It’s possible that the issue was a temporary glitch or error in the system, which was resolved after you restarted it. It’s also possible that the RAID setup or configuration was not optimal, which could have caused the drives to show up as failing even though they were not actually faulty.
Since you have already performed disk and system tests and found no errors, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on the drives and monitor their performance over time. You may also want to check the RAID configuration to ensure that it’s set up correctly and optimally for your needs.
If the problem persists or you notice any unusual behavior or performance issues, it’s best to seek the help of a professional technician or contact the manufacturer for further assistance.
. . .and of course, having a current backup is always wise.
So it has been running for 2 days after I did that restart so far there are 0 errors its been blue since. But I will continue to monitor it. Honestly it was just a glitch I think the drives & raid seem fine.
So update! I had restarted the NAS that day and it has officially been normal since that issue. So I am not sure as to what might of caused the issues.
