EX4 vs EX4100 LED Options

I have an EX4 which I bought in the US which allows system/disk LEDs to be disabled. I purchased 2x EX4100’s here in Europe which only has the LCD option to be disabled. Besides actually cracking the thing open, has anyone figured out a way to disable the system/disk LEDs?

It’s quite annoying to have 8x disk LED’s glaring at you in your office whereas the EX4 only shows blue/red power LED.

Cover them up with black card board :slight_smile:

Unless you’re more adventous, take the case apart and snap off the LED’s. But then, you’ll have to set up EX4100 to send you emails if and when any of the drives are failing.

Better to cover them up. unless you’re adventous.
