Is it expected that the drive lights flash continuously? That’s 24/7. I wondered what setting I have mistakenly altered that causes this, because I don’t know.
Can anyone help?
You can turn off the led lights in the settings.
Its under energy saver in the general settings.

If you have Media Serving turned on any shares, it may still be indexing / thumbnailing all the media.
Mine has been up for a long time, and spends most of its time happily in standby, even though it has terrabytes of data already on it.
