1024 Public & TimeMachineBackup Folders?

First, I am not certain if this was caused by the firmware update or not as I just noticed it yesterday. I happen to notice that I now have 1024 Public and TimeMachineBackup folders on my EX4100 NAS. Public_1 all the way to Public_1024 with each folder having a copy of what is currently in my regular Public folder. The same holds true for the TimeMachineBackup_1 to TimeMachineBackup_1024 folders. Took fw update 2.11.133 and now have multiple new shares I can't delete

My EX4 took the update and now I have multiple shares of the default shares (over 500 of each) which is slowing the system down dramatically and pushes the CPU usage meter to max. If no one else is having this issue is there a way I can return to the previous firmware? It was buggy as well but at least it worked. Can I download the older firmware and manually install/overwrite the new and more buggy one?

Heed my advice.
RMA the unit
When the new unit comes in rebuild with only use freshly wiped drives.

The one good thing that came out of this is that I now have a backup strategy for my NAS and can recover if the NAS shits the bed again.
