EX2100 Firmware Update 2.21.126 destroyed iSCSI Target config

The update of the EX2100 Firmware to V. 2.21.126, applied at 3:01AM Dec. 21st resulted in a complete loss of configuration of the iSCSI target on my device. Anyone else experience this? How do I recover this lost configuration? I have lost access to all of my data and I need it back!

Hello,

This is not a common issue, but we have a KBA that addresses the issue you’re experiencing.

Apologies for glomming onto this thread, but our data may help everyone.

This happened to us with our PR4100 and the kb article did not help. Our path to reclaiming our data took a bit (tried to access via sshfs, nfs, mount loopbacks, etc. - ultimately we had a second unit available and recreated the same exact LUN’s (name and size), then after activating ssh on both units, scp’d our two lun img files (12TB and 11TB) to the second system, replacing the newly created lun images. They were accessible then.

Hope this works for everyone.

Cheers!
