External USB back up _ EX2 Ultra

Greetings to all WD community.

I own a EX2 Ultra, with 2 WD Red Drives | 2TB each, and I´m running firmware 2.30.193.
My EX2 Ultra is working under Spanning mode.
I also own a 4TB WD Elements external drive, connected to the EX2 Ultra by a usb 3.0 cable, witch I consider it to be my back up.
In this moment, all data is “mirrored” in both devices (because I’ve formatted them both and copied the files myself).
I would like to do “some kind of RAID1” between the EX2 Ultra and the 4TB WD Elements drive, so it “mirrors” the EX2 Ultra on the 4TB WD Elements drive from now on!
(it is important to mention that several users work on the EX2 Ultra files)

Any advice how to be able to keep data synced automatically?
Can anybody help with a walk-through?

Thanks in advance!
Regards.

Unfortunately, you cannot configure the RAID between My Cloud and WD Element. you can only create the USB backup, please refer to the link given below for more information.

Thanks for the answer asp73.
So, ill have to do the Back Up manually, right? Defining jobs or copying myself the folders?
WD should really develop and implement the next user needs:

  • Expand the possibilities of configuration such as RAID1 from NAS to USB;
  • Scheduled USB Backup;
  • Develop an app for PC’s, so when users are connecting the NAS via remote internet access, can listen to music, read text files and view movies and images directly from the app, instead of having to download them!
