Ethernet connected MyCloud keeps dropping wifi connectivity

I have a MyCloud, Ethernet connected to Virgin Hub router. I have configured static ip address. Although I can occassionally connect to the MyCloud over wifi from my Mac more moreoften than not I am waiting an age and when i do the connection i flaky and drops …

If you are using My Cloud device, first check whether your device is updated to the latest version. Then run System Diagnostic Test from the dashboard to test the health of My Cloud.
