ETA on firmware to address Header Removal compression issue?

I’m running into issues with files made with the new version of MKVMerge. It would be great if we could get an ETA on firmware that addresses this so my WDTV Live doesn’t keep getting “bricked.” It’s a real pain and made me think the device was broken once…

edit:  I just noticed that there is a firmware update  – my device didn’t pick it up since it was bricked again due to the MKV issue and I forgot to set up the network connectivity again. So… does it fix this?

Yes, it does. And be careful using the term bricked. Bricked means it’s dead. Permanently.

re: bricked

Hence the quotes  When this first happened, I honestly had no idea that the device *could* play files again, so I actually thought that it *was* bricked. I actually RMA’d it.

Cool - confirmed that the firmware fixes it. Thanks!

I jumped the gun… but I didn’t see the WDTV pages themselves feature *any* update on on the firmware pages! (Someone at WD should update these pages which I was using to check for updates -  http://www.wdc.com/en/products/WDTV/ and  http://www.wdc.com/wdproducts/updates/?family=wdfwdtv_hd

TIA!

Well, those pages aren’t for your device.
