8 month old drive now no longer accesible. Drive no longer showing in my computer but device manager OK. Disk management won’t access as drive is ‘write protected’. I know this is an old problem but I can’t find a solution. USB ok and on USB3. If asked to return what security is there on all my data as it is running as smartware continuos backup up to when stopped being accesible. Would you send it off into the unknown?
Have you tried deleting the WD driver disconnecting the drive and rebooting sustyem then reconnecting the drive? Also you might try this
