Error Transfer Message + Drive is a no show in Disk Utility

My new 3TB WD MyCloud gives this same error. But when I go to reformat it, it doesn’t appear in my Disk Utility.

NASes never appear in DIsk Utility.

NASes are never reformated the way you’re thinking.

What do you mean by “Error Transfer Message.”
