Error Playing MP3's in MyCloud App

Hi everyone,

When I try to use the My Cloud iphone app to play music I’m getting the following popup:

“Error - unable to play this media file”

Now, the funny apart about this is that my music plays fine when I use the browser under “All” to navigate to a music folder in the iTunes media library, but it’s when using the “Music” tab at the bottom of the app that I get this error. Granted I’m able to FIND the music using the music tab, but it’s when I try to play it that I get the error.

The workaround for now is that I’ve been using the “All” browser, but obviously this is a pain since I have to dig through each level of folder each time I want to access my music, as opposed to just clicking the “Music” tab and having it all right there.

This is on an iPhone 6 and being attempted remotely. My main computer at home is a macbook pro running el capitan and the music folders are within the iTunes media library.

I went ahead and tried doing a DLNA rescan and rebuild, as well as rescan the iTunes database, thinking that might fix the issue, but it’s been stuck at 47% (4,800 music files) for the last few hours…sigh

Uninstall the app, reboot iPhone, and re-install app. Are things better?
