I formatted my WD500 my book (USB & Firewire 400) for use with my new iMac. It has been working fine for about a year and now I see this error message: he system extension “/System/Library/Extensions/IOFireWireWDHID. kext” was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product’s vendor for an update. Any help is appreciated.
