Error message on WD My Book backup drive

My computer constantly displays a message “Job cannot run because of invalid destination”. I’m convinced it isn’t backing up my computer’s hard drive. I can find nothing on formatting WD My Book. Please tell me how I correct this problem.


What program are you using to backup your files?

Have you tried creating a new backup job?

I received scant to no information on backing up files. My last backup drive (Toshiba) backed up the files automatically, so I presumed my “WD My Book” would do the same. Why doesn’t WD provide the necessary information? Many of us (I’m presuming) are not that computer savvy. Thanks for the response.
