WDMyCloudEx2Ultra, 4 TB, RAID1
I have received the following message in the dashboard: “The utilization of the capacity of the data carrier is over 95%”. The operation LED lights up red. I was logged out of my cloud account from the web dashboard.
I can hardly access the file directory with my laptop (HP) and iMac. It takes a long time or doesn’t work at all. Explorer often hangs (no response), in Finder the hard disk disappears after a few seconds. When I get to the files, I can’t move anything. Attempts to delete entire folders do not work. Either the process hangs (no response) or the message appears that the drive is no longer accessible.
Also strange: when I try to restart the system, the following message appears: “Shutting down, restoring and restarting the system and updating the firmware are not permitted if the following processes are active: Disk formatting, Disk resizing, Disk migration, RAID parity check and Firmware upload.”
According to the dashboard, I only have 645 MB free. According to Explorer still 4kb. Both drive status and RAID status show “Error free”.
With my minimal knowledge, I assume that I need to create space on the hard disk. But how? I have little or no access. For example, there would be an older TimeMachine backup of approx. 1TB on the hard disk that I no longer need and could delete.
Can anyone help me?
