I recently upgraded my 2012 desktop imac to a 3T HD. My external passport is full. I would like to erase it, and start over with the backups of the new HD. I want to eliminate backing up itunes, as it is on icloud anyway. I mainly need the files for business/personal/etc. How do I do this?

You can manually delete the current files stored on your My Passport by opening the drive, select the files and then erase them or reformatting the drive.
