Erased Drive, file explorer shows "folder is empty"

Have a 500 GB My Passport Ultra, that has not been used since 2015. Had to erase the drive, since the password was unavailable. On a Windows 10 PC, via File Explorer, the My Passport Ultra (F) just shows “this folder is empty”

I’ve downloaded the WD Drive Utilities and Security apps. What else is needed and how do I start using the drive ?
