I am totally pissed of by the energy saving function. There definitely must be in a future Firmware the function to set the Time for power saving manually. The actual standard timeout interval is too short for working with the device casually. Every time you access the device in the power save mode you have to wait ca. 20-30 seconds before the system responds. This is not acceptable as even incompatible with Windows ISCI drives. Windows checks often drives on availability and if the EX4 is sleeping the whole Windows system is blocked until the EX4 is waken up again.

You can also deactivate the energy saving function. It’s under Settings >> General. You can configure the energy plan the way you want.
