Email share error

 Sending a link to a file via email share worked when I first set up my unit, but now is throwing an error to the recipient when they click on the file link:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<error_code>401</error_code>

<http_status_code>401</http_status_code>

<error_id>57</error_id>

<error_message>User not authorized</error_message>

</core>

I would appreciate any ideas how to fix this. Is it the MyCloud box? There have been no chnages to the router.

Thanks!

I had this same exact problem, and can tell you that the only way that the WD support was able to fix it was by performing a SYSTEM ONLY factory restore. While you do not lose any of your data from this, you do lose all your personalizations and have to reissue user names and passwords, and any other customization that you had prior to the updae. I tried rebooting the MyCloud, turning remote access on and off, and even making new user profiles. None of these worked except for the SYSTEM ONLY factory restore.

Thanks! I’ll try that when I get home.

I tried this but it did not solve the problem.  An hour late on tech support and no solution yet.  “Level 2” is now on the case.

I’ve had this issue as well right after upgrading to the latest firmware, I doubt it support will be able to fix it, but if they do, please share with us, I belive this can only be fixed via a new firmware update though.
